daslab is the Data Science Laboratory of the Department of Informatics at PUC-Rio. It is co-coordinated by Hélio Lopes and Simone D. J. Barbosa.

It aims to make Research & Development & Innovation on Data Science including its related areas: machine learning, data mining, process mining, visualization, UX/UI, artificial intelligence, data bases, IoT, and ethics in computing.

Since its creation in 2017, the daslab has been executing important industrial projects and has been promoting the diffusion of data science concepts in different industrial sectors.

daslab has a strong collaboration with other labs at the Department of Informatics, mainly with ideias, galgos and ExACTa.
