Computer Graphics

The cooperative academic program in Computer Graphics involves the departments of Informatics, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mathematics, and has the collaboration of IMPA. The most comprehensive laboratory in the program is the Intelligent CAD Laboratory (ICAD), both in terms of the number of researchers and the degree of integration with the industry.

ICAD maintains cooperation programs at a national (UNICAMP) and international level (Imperial College, IST- Lisbon, Cornell). Industry participates in the program through the ITS Computer Graphics Technology Group (TeCGraf). The program has lines of research in the following areas: image synthesis, animation (traditional animation, animation based on physical models, behavioral animation), image processing, geometric modeling, CAD, design and interfaces.
