Galgos is a research laboratory linked to the Department of Informatics at PUC-Rio focusing mainly on the development and application of algorithmic methods for the handling and analysis of large volumes of data, as well as optimization of medium and large resources. The laboratory members are encouraged to develop a solid experience in quantitative methods, working with classical algorithm design and mathematical programming techniques, in addition to computer learning methodologies.
